STORY: "Mila’s Rainy Day"

Mila wakes up and hears the rain. “It’s raining!” she says. She looks out the window. The sky is gray, and the streets are wet. Mila wants to go to the park, but her mom says, “Let’s stay home today.” Mila is sad, but she understands. She gets her umbrella and stands by the door. “Just five minutes outside?” she asks. Her mom smiles and says, “Okay, but stay close.” Mila goes outside. She jumps in a small puddle. Splash! Her feet get wet, but she laughs. She looks at the sky and opens her umbrella. After a while, she goes back home. “That was fun,” she says. “I like rainy days!”
