S-V-C

 Part 1 [DEFINITION] 

S-V-C stands for Subject-Verb-Complement. It refers to a sentence structure where:

  • S = Subject (who or what the sentence is about)

  • V = Verb (the action or state)

  • C = Complement (a word or group of words that completes the meaning of the verb. It often refers to the subject's state, identity, or description).

The complement can be an adjective (describing the subject) or a noun (identifying the subject).
